“One slip, one false move, one missed toehold and you're dead.” This really grabbed me, along with the cover art which feels very adventurous and the map of the rock formation on the first page inside the “First Look” it was clearly a very challenging ascent that sent Alex right to the edge of what is humanly possible. I only have a vague knowledge and understanding of freeclimbing so I can only imagine what the planning, preparation and experience was like. This book promises to help me to understand all this properly. I probably won’t take up free-climbing though!
