I like the cover image; it reflects the contents of the book. However, I don't like the arrangement of the text on the cover.
The synopsis is quite intriguing but the extract failed to capture my imagination. I'm not a fan of mountaineering and I've never heard of the author or the climber. If I decided to read a book on a historic ascent such as this, I think I would rather read a first person account.
