Maybe better if you're into climbing.

I suspect if you are into climbing, or would like to get into the world of climbing, you would enjoy this book significantly more than I did.
The book is about Alex Honnold, who apparently is the world's most famous climber, and his bid to 'free climb' Freerider on El Capitan in Yosemite.
It starts with a history of the major climbers and the climbing scene from the 1970's onwards, and the way in which they advanced and made more dangerous climbing.
The book was well enough written, and there were parts that I enjoyed, but it was just a bit too detailed for me about a world I didn't really understand, and had very little interest in. I'm sure if you were interested in this world, this book would be a great history, and an enjoyable telling of a major event...but it wasn't for me. Sorry.
