From the cover of this book I thought the author was going to give us gripping tales of how the climb up El Cap was undertaken. I thought there would be moments where I held my breath as I read how dangerous and tricky the ascent was. But no - I was left feeling a little flat. I was left wondering as I read page after page whether I should really give up. Sometimes the author just went a little too far ...I mean ...I just did not need to know about Alex Honnold's toilet troubles !! - why would he put that in ?? I feel that if this was to be a story of Alex then he should have written the book himself - the author did him no favours and certainly won't make this a best seller. This is not a book I would read again nor recommend
