It’s a shame really as this book was not really my sort of book. I found bits of it interesting but, when the author started describing ropes and crampons I got a bit bored.
It would appeal to people who are interested in climbing and do it themselves in fact some people might even take it up as a hobby after reading it. I like watching programmes about this sort of thing but not reading about it although, some of it made me gasp at the risks these people take and have no fear about hurting themselves or falling off the rocks. Some of them only have a rope tied around them and use their fingers and feet to get them up.
I’m sure this book will do very well in its genre and I’m very sure lots of people will read it.
