‘The impossible climb’ tells the story of Alex Hannold, and his incredible achievement of climbing El capitan without any safety equipment or assistance. This book was tense and full of suspense even though the reader knows the ascent was a success. The author also talks about climbing in more detail, and can be understood by those who do not climb. I thought it was a pleasant read, I felt like I have learned something from this book, there was also plenty of pictures, which I enjoyed.
Whether you’re interested in climbing or not it is still a good read, and a great source of information about an extreme sport, by someone who is passionate about it. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers.
