Not often am I intrigued by Roman fiction; I know the history well enough and would always rather just watch a documentary or listen to a podcast to gain some facts. However this one had caught my eye and I would definitely give it a go! It seems more like an action packed political story in the context of ancient Rome, rather than trying to dramatise historical events, which I like the sound of.
The cover also seems to be a lot more modern and eye-catching than a lot of this genre. This helps in tempting me to pick it up when I wouldn't usually.
