Although I love this era, this book is probably not for me. Normally I love a historical novel but I found there was too much detailed description, and not enough left to the reader's imagination, that I ended up skim reading a lot of it. The in depth knowledge of the era is impressive, and the book was fast paced action from the get go, so good if that's your thing I suppose.
