This isn't my usual type of book, based in Roman times Ballista is running from the City Watch who want to capture him and kill him so he can't save the emporer. At times this book was really gripping and made me want to continue reading and find out what was happening but at other moments I really struggled to engage with this book. It had a lot of history related jargon which I struggled with at times.
This book involves a lot of action and a lot occurs in this book. I think it is worth a read, especially for those who have an interest in history, however it isn't a book to read it you want some easy reading, at least I don't think it is anyway.
