What a great first read. This story captures the reader from the beginning, a harrowing time for those who lived in it and yet the strength shown in the characters tells the story of women with strength, courage and care and never giving up. It makes a refreshing change to read about women in war as opposed to the men who fought it. I would love to read more of the book..
