The style of writing is amazing and I would expect it to make me sob like the Tattooist of Auschwitz did. As a polish person, the history of WW2 and concentration camps has always been important to me.
That being said, even though Tattooist of Auschwitz was an objectively good book and The Nine will probably be grippingly beautiful, it is simply not for me as I am not a big fan of historical fiction. My boyfriend, however, owns collections of historical novels and, after reading the extract with me, he said "if you don't give it at least 4 stars, I will never trust your opinion again". So here I am with 4 stars, by both of us.
If you like historical fiction, more importantly, WW2, you will probably love this book.
