I read less non-fiction that I should and am trying to correct that - this book is about a period of history that I always find fascinating, and the fact that the author has a personal connection, and tells it from the unusual perspective of all women really appealed to me. The cover grabbed my attention, and my impression of the First Look has confirmed that this is a book I would love to read - not an easy read for sure but an inspiring and important one.
