Whilst not the type of book that I would usually go for, I have been amazed by this book. A fascinating, yet harrowing recalling of the stories of nine women held in a Nazi Concentration Camp and how they escaped, this book is a totally different take on femininity and girl power. Showcasing the previously unheard to many stories of these women, this book not only teaches the resilience of these women (and many more) held in the most dire of circumstances, but also teaches valuable lessons that should never be forgotten about the truly horrific pain and suffering the Nazis inflicted on thousands, if not millions of innocent people.
