The cover of this book was an immediate draw for me, from the barbed wire to the blue and white clothing snagged on it. This is such a horrific and barbaric time in history, that I think everyone should know about. Praise for the nine women who bravely endured this and went on to write about it. I cannot imagine what they endured, but I know some of it is shared in the book by Gwen Strauss just to make sure their magnificent survival story lives on.
