A couple of years back I really got into books that are true stories from WW2 after reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz so this really caught my eye. The cover is quite striking and made me want to read the blurb.
I like that the action started from the very beginning with ‘the nine’ seizing an opportunity to make their escape. The writing is descriptive and describes the harrowing realities of the war.
