My great grandfather was high in command of the Belgian resistance during WWII. He died when I was a young child and my memories of him are hazy, but what I can easily recall is the fact he didn't like people - only animals - and as I didn't speak as a child I was the only one allowed to sit with him. I understand that now to be PTSD. I would have liked to find out more about his sacrifices for his country and this book might help to figure out what sort of things he went through.
