The story took a bit of time to get into, and I'm still not sure what I think of 'Tom' or Lila. Interesting that both have so much to hide from and seems likely that they will end up helping each other (and also causing each other a lot of trouble as they do so!) The imagery was good, you could definitely get a picture of the village and the characters in it.
