The opening chapter to this book drew me in immediately. It is not even a full page but it was enough to grab my attention.
The story was good. The blurb gave a idea what it was about but did not give too mic away.
I have not read anything by this author so did not know what to expect. It was well written.
I think there was some missed potential though. I think they could have gone more in to the religion and practices used. It could have included so much more and made it a bit more interesting. As with the group that lived there, they could have been utilises more and brought in to the story more.
The book is quite long and it was quite drawn out. There was suddenly more action at the end. I think that it maybe needed a bit more padding in the middle.
