I was pulled into this book within first chapters, I liked the writing the ease of knowing who was who, the hint at the main character (Tom) having a past but not fully knowing what that was. I liked Lila and felt that she was someone whom needed love and security, but also feel that there is another story behind her.
I felt that the book brought up some old age behaviours that people used to do and felt that they were above the law, but it was not dark that made you what to stop reading.
I wanted to get to the end to find out the past of both main characters and was given some of Tom’ s past but feel that there is potentially another story of both Tom and Lila’s past to show why and how they ended up where they did
