I really enjoyed this book from the author who is perhaps better known by his 'alter-ego' Tania Carver.
Set in a small Cornish village, the story follows the fortunes of ex undercover police officer Tom who is attempting to lead a low key life, before a troubled girl breaks into his house and steals all his identity papers. As he tries to get them back he is drawn into a world of old religion and fringe society.
I thought this was really well written and moved along at a good pace, it was easy to read a lot in one sitting. The characters were believable and although there were no major shocks, there was plenty of interest to keep you reading and guessing right to the end.
I'd recommended this book to anyone who likes a good crime story that's not just a police procedural.
Obviously fans on Tania Carver should enjoy too!!
