Then Lila happens . She is a runaway aged just seventeen . She breaks into his house and steals his wallet , which contains everything he needs about his new identity .
From now he and Lila become drawn into a darkly gripping and sinister story . It is well worth reading as we find out more about Tom and the reasons for his move to St Petroc . The Cornish feel is certainly not like your Summer holiday , having a threatening feel combining folklore , superstition and local traditions in a creepy way . I would like to read more books by this writer . Maybe more featuring Tom Kilgannon ?
