The first chapter got you hooked after a lad gets a lift home and is taken. There are three points of view within the book Lila, Tom and Kyle. Lila is the girl that lured Kyle into the back of the van for some unknown reason. Tom has started a new life in the village and has got a new identity. Kyle is the man who ends up in a cell from being kidnapped.

After reading and understanding how each of the stories came together as one I enjoyed the book but it took a while for the story to take hold and for events to start taking place. I like each of the characters as they had their own personalities and what happened to them in their past. At the end I was very confused about one character called Morrigan as the author was calling them to different names in which I thought was a man turned out to be a woman. I thought I got confused and I didn’t really understand where I went wrong.

I enjoyed the story but didn’t love it. I was a good read but at times I found the whole aspect of witchcraft a bit too much as the book was to be a thriller and focusing on what the ex policeman was doing with his life. I am glad I read it as there is another book within this series and this sounds like such an interesting read that I could sink my teeth into! Overall it wasn’t the best crime/thriller book I’ve read but I am ready to give the next one in the series a go to see if I can get use to the imagination of the characters.
