I thoroughly enjoyed the first two in this series, and have been eagerly awaiting this next volume. Nicholas Shelby is a very interesting main character who has grown even more so over the course of the first two entries in this series. I enjoy his straighforward talk with the scary spymaster Robert Cecil, not many would get away with talking to him the way he does. The extract flew along, and left me eager for more, can't wait to see how Nicholas gets on in his undercover trip abroad, and what awaits him when he gets home - with a plague in full swing by then, and does he make it back in time for his wedding...
