This is very much a me kind of book.
The opening starts the story strong - you are pulled straight in to this world, and straight into danger.
Because this is set during Elizabethan times, I can very much imagine the settings, the character types, the clothings etc. You have well known high-ranking members of the Queen’s court - which helps to set the scene for me. It means you already have the danger and intrigue which was prevalent in Tudor times.
I will definitely be reading this book.
