The cover is definitely reflective of the era the book is set in, it has a very Elizabethan feel to it with the ships. It didn't grip me straight away but upon further research, it fits with the previous books in the series.
This isn't the type of genre I would go for as I'm not a huge fan of historical fictions but the first pages of the sample did interest me into wanting to read more. I particularly liked the Arabian background and detailed description. However, I'm unsure as to whether this would be a good read considering I haven't read the previous installments.
