I was reluctant to start this book as it didn’t look on first glance like something I would enjoy. However, the first peak has completely drawn me in with enough intrigue to want to continue reading it.
I didn’t realise from reading that it was actually third in a series (as the other reviews state), so I think it can stand alone well without the previous stories.
The writing eludes mystery and just enough historical references to not make you feel as if you are at school!
