The first impression I had from the title The Saracen's Mark is that this book would be in the fantasy genre but it isn't. I do like both the title and the cover a lot and they did draw me in initially. However, whilst I did find it to be very well written, the style of writing and the genre itself just aren't for me. I do think those who enjoy historical fiction and those who have read other books in this series will enjoy this book very much.
