I love historical literature and I love London, so a novel based in 16th century London sounds perfect. Spy thrillers are also a favourite of mine, so the acts of betrayal and the undercover mission and informer who has gone missing adds a lot to the plot. Furthermore, the threat of the plague is both timely and terrifying, which adds yet another layer to this work. I'd love to chance to read the whole book.
