A truly wonderful surprise - I was completely intrigued when I saw the beautiful book cover for ‘The Saracen’s Mark’.

With no prior knowledge of the other books in the series, this book stands out on its own true merits, as a stand alone story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book over the last couple of days. I loved how deeply the characters; their emotions, hopes and fears are portrayed by S.W Perry descriptive writing.

As a reader, you feel you are truly caught up in the conspiracies and dazzling espionage within Elizabethan London.

Following the main characters of Nicholas Shelby - a reluctant spy and his companion Bianca Merton as they begin to set up life on the Bankside in London. It’s not long before Nicholas Shelby is recruited by the Queen’s spymaster into a dangerous, undercover mission.

Can Bianca survive in London with so many external threats without Nicholas by her side? Especially as he is whisked off to the dazzling sights of Marrakech...

Not forgetting the plague within London becoming a dangerous threat to all - the pace of the story really creates a realism that the plague is becoming a character within itself.

Beautiful scenic descriptions with a historical intrigue - considering this is not my usual ‘go to genre’ I would definitely recommend ‘The Saracen’s Mark’ to all. Enjoy.
