I struggled with this book in the beginning as it does take it for granted you have read the previous books and therefore familiar with some of the characters and previous storylines however, pushing through this minor side issue I found the book to be very enjoyable.
The characters are well rounded and as a reader you do find them endearing and i was interested to see where the story went.
I’m reluctant to go into specific details in case I ruin it for someone.
I found the underlying plot about the plague and feeling first hand what it would have been like, really exciting and completely different. The plague is something you read about without any personal attachment but this book gives you a totally different perspective.
I’m looking forward to reading any more the author may write for the series
