I enjoyed the premise of the story and certainly there are some memorable characters. The story was full of intrigue and I really wanted to buy into the characters. There was some jeopardy and some brilliant stroke of atmospheric writing that has to be acknowledged and commended.

However, after a while the long, comma punctuated sentences wore thin and the story really didn’t flow as a result of this in my opinion. Many of the sentences, either punctuated with commas or dashes were over 4 lines in length. When I noticed an error in the text I finally gave up battling the read at around half of the way through the book. I even left it a couple of days and tried to continue but couldn’t quite bring myself to persevere. Sorry!
