Wow. Just WOW.
At first, I didn't realize that The Scarlet Code was a sequel of a book called The Bastille Spy, but I read into this just fine and understood everything that was happening.
The characters seem very interesting, especially our main lead. She is a badass, half-white, half-African girl (diversity at its finest!), and we have loads of other interesting characters that I know I'll love.
C. S. Quinn does not hesitate to shove the facts up in your face. An example of that is when Attica, our main narrator and character, kills several guards to get to the woman she is rescuing. Detailed descriptions about the killings are enforced, but I found myself loving all of them.
Overall, I just KNOW this book will be a five out of five. I love it so far, and can't wait to read it!
