I could hardly put this book down! I loved the first book ‘The Bastille Spy’ and was excited to read The Scarlet Code, and it did not disappoint.
The plot was exciting to read about, it had me hooked and I was eager to read more. I have not read many books set during the French Revolution so it was interesting to read this one. I enjoyed the writing style and relatively short chapters, it was easy to read and I found myself flying through the chapters.
The characters are great to read about, and I enjoyed learning more about Attica and Jemmy. The characters were written very well and I ended up worrying for them.
This book was action packed and full of adventure. It was fast paced with the characters plot taking place over a short time. The book ended with an opening for more, so I hope that their will be another book to come!
