I really enjoyed this first look, having read the description it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Caroline Bond has an elegant and concise writing style which manages to tell the story succinctly but in a way which kept me turning the pages to the end of the sample. The characters of Phil and Sarah are interesting and starting to develop and I would like to know what happens to their family.
I liked the cover but I'm not sure it would really stand out for me, it's quite similar to a lot of other books in this sort of genre.
