The blurb led me to believe that Lauren's mother was in fact her mother, and she hadn't been faithful to Lauren's father, but boy was I wrong! This is so fascinating, it immediately led me to wonder whether their biological daughter is disabled in the same way, and how different their lives might have been if there hadn't been a mix-up.
