I'm not sure I would have usually chosen to read this book. However something about it drew me in and I'm glad it did. I finished it within a couple of days. I loved everything about it. I didn't dislike any characters or find any of it drawn out. It kept me gripped from the start. The feelings of the different family members surprised you throughout. You expected to hate them for some of their thoughts but instead you found yourself understanding why they felt the way they did. I found it to be a feel good book even though it was a harrowing situation for all parties to be involved in. I believe I could read this book again and still enjoy it as much. It reminded me a little of books by Jodi Picoult who is firm favourite of mine.
