First of all, I have to say I’m slightly confused.
WARNING, SMALL SPOILER ALERT.
From what I’ve read, I understand Lauren to be deaf. Therefore when the mum (Sarah, I think) goes in to Lauren’s room and cries, why must she cry quietly “so as not to wake her” (her being Lauren) if Lauren is deaf?
That aside, I absolutely loved the extract! I love the layout with both parents having different chapters, I love the overall plot as I touched my heart a little bit, and getting to know the characters as you never know what to expect ! I think the book could be heart breaking but have a happy ending? Possibly. I really don’t know how it’s going to end and it’s keeping me asking questions, I would love to read the rest of this book!
