Reading the first few chapters initially I enjoyed the book, but actually working my way through the book I couldn’t put it down. The author pulls you into all the characters and complexity from the start. Writing each character in first person is a method that I haven’t read before but one that captures your imagination and remember that there is always a different perspective.
The twist was certainly not something I saw coming but added to the intrigue.
Sarah and Anne are the two mums caught in the twist with Rosie and Lauren the daughters. The bond with a mother is strong and even with all the battles that these families have gone through you still feel emotional and sorry at the end.
I will definitely look out for more books from this author and be recommending the book to friends and family.
A fresh change of subject for me but one that I am in awe of.
