I immediately love the premise of this novel, a tense hostage situation in an ordinary London cafe. It's the type of real world thriller that I'm always drawn to due to its suspenseful nature.
The first look was short but gripping giving us a brief insight into the initial characters and how their separate lives will intertwine.
The cover is also wonderfully cryptic; a shattered tea cup really doesn't tell us a lot but makes me want to find out more. I'm already expecting a deeply psychological novel, I would love to read more!
