I really loved this book! It is all about a hostage situation, and the narrative is told from multiple points of view. This means you hear all about their backstories and really engage and empathize with the characters. They are well thought-through and shows the pain that people experience, taking various forms and caused by all sorts of different reasons.
The front cover says it's about 3 hostages but actually it is more complicated than that and more people are involved, something I really liked.
I finished the book in three days as I was just so hooked by the concept and wanted to know how things turned out. I sobbed towards the end and I kept thinking it throughout the day afterwards. I would definitely recommend it and have given it to my mum to read.
