I loved this book!
Sam, Neil and Rosie, some of the characters, were sympathetically and realistically written and, as a reader, I wanted to know more about the story and what would happen.
The tense situation in the cafe came across really vividly. It is set in London but could be set in any big city, on any day in the frantic world that we all existed in pre-lockdown.
I won't spoil the ending (of course!) but it did not disappoint as so often happens.
I have not read any of Charity Norman's novels but will be looking out for them now. She writes from the heart in such a good way that I do want to read other novels to see if this was a one off - I really hope it was not as I feel I have found a new writer to add to my list!
