I nearly made myself late for work reading this sample...... everything I love in one place! A well written historical novel, intrigue, a dollop of war with the accompanying guts and gore, and the promise of some relationship stuff to come. Note to self: don't start reading this before work or anything else important again because I may not be able to put it down till its finished!
