This reminded me that I haven't got around to reading The Angel's Mark yet and unfortunately the opening chapters give away a fair bit of that book's plot. There is still the same easy entry to the author's world created on the page as there was that led me to purchase the first in the series but it doesn't "get going" as rapidly as the first book in the series does. I understand the need to recap the tale a little but it does seem to dwell overly long on the history of Nicholas. Leaving me a little uncertain as to whether or not this is one for me.
