Exciting
The Serpent's Mark starts well, and pulls you in.
It has a bit of the feel of The Frankenstein Chronicles, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
It's a shame that the description didn't mention that this is a second book, as that would have been helpful to know from the start.
The era feels very well researched, and the story exciting. I look forward to picking up the first book.
The cover is attractive, but also makes the book look a little bit cheap to me.
