Great immersive descriptions, and twist of horror which made me take note at the end of the first chapter. The narrative is intriguing from the beginning and I want to know more.
Interesting flawed characters which seem appropriate for the time and setting to further bring the reader into the world. It is easy to see how Nicholas can be dragged into the dark plot described in the synopsis and I imagine this journey will be an interesting and exciting read.
The cover gives the impression of treachery. I also like the symbol of Asclepius to represent the profession of the protagonist. The background image of London also places the book in the time period and setting before reading the synopsis.
