This is a book for fans of historical fiction as it is set in the 16th century in England. I found the initial two pages left you with a mystery to solve and therefore this made me want to read on. It then goes back in time 9 months and tells you how things came to be. I found the language a bit hard going but authentic. It seemed a bit cruel but then it was cruel in those times. It is not a book I would chose to read but then I am not a great fan of historical novels.
