Having read the first book of this series and really enjoying it, I was looking forward to getting stuck into this one.
It did not disappoint. It was great to be back with Nicholas Shelby and Bianca and the time period was just as dangerous and unpredictable as in the first book.
I found it as easy to get into as the previous one which is always a good thing and the plot was a fairly good one even if it wasn’t quite as gripping as I hoped it would be.
Nevertheless, I quite enjoyed the read and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed reading the first instalment of the series and the time period in which it is set so all in all a good read and I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who shows an interest.
