I read a lot of crime/thriller/mystery books and was given this one by a family member to add to my collection. I had never heard of the author before but having just finished this book I will certainly be keeping an eye out for more by Marc Raabe.

The story starts in a relatively conventional mystery style but it soon becomes clear that this is not a typical crime/mystery/thriller. It has the usual components but throws in unexpected twists which kept me guessing and wanting to read on. The characters well developed, especially so that they invoked an emotional response from me, even if it was anger towards the seemingly selfish Katy and Greg.

The book is very well written and definitely kept me on my toes. I am hesitant to give away any spoilers as I do think it’s a journey that future readers should take with no preconceptions.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and it kept me guessing right up until the final chapters.
