A persecuted village seeks shelter from a vicious Samurai.

Father Joaquim is the Catholic priest of a village 40 miles outside Nagasaki where a new Governor has been appointed to root out and destroy both priests and followers of the Christian faith on orders of the Shogun. Can Father Joaquim both guide and protect his flock as they seek sanctuary away from their village as they flee both persecution and also the burden of increased taxation?
