When I first saw the cover of this book, I didn't think that it would be my kind of book. However, I decided to review it anyway; I'm glad I did!
Generally, I am very interested in historical fiction and was pleased when I found out that it was set in 17th Century Tokyo - something that I don't know much about (yet). I found it intreging that it was about the persecuted church and I liked the scenes where they had to practice their faith in secret.
Overall, I want to read more and was pleasantly surprised by this book!
